HOW TO APPLY FOR EDD

This post is for those that has been asking for the latest update from me. WHAT IS EDD?

The Employment Development Department (EDD) is one of the largest state departments with employees at hundreds of service locations throughout the state.

The EDD manages the Unemployment Insurance (UI) and State Disability Insurance (SDI) programs for the State of California. SDI includes Disability Insurance .

In other to fill an application these following details are required and needed:

• Personal information
• Social Security number
• Mobile phone number
• Mobile phone or tablet with a camera
• Citizenship status (which may include your alien registration number)
• Last employer information (no matter how long you worked for them)
• Address (mailing and physical location)
• Phone number
• Last date worked
• Gross (total) earnings for the last week you worked (beginning with Sunday and ending with your last day of work)
• Information about all employers you worked for in the past 18 months
• Address (mailing and physical location)
• Phone number
• Dates worked
• Gross (total) wages earned
• Hours worked per week and hourly rate of pay
• Pension information (if any)
• Do not include Social Security, Railroad Retirement, or a pension based on another person’s employment (such as your spouse).

Now, let me show you all the steps you need to follow.

1. Go to the website https://edd.ca.gov/

2. Click on APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYEMENT

3. CLICK ON REGISTER NOW

4. CLICK ON THE CHECK BOX WHICH SAYS "I HAVE READ..." THEN CLICK ON AGREE

5. CREATE AN ACOUNT AND COMPLETE ALL THE SECURITY REQUIREMENTS.

6. ONCE YOU ARE DONE, CLICK ON SUBMIT.

7. TO CONTINUE YOUR REGISTRATION, KINDLY OPEN THE EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH YOU USED FOR THE REGISTRATION AND CLICK ON THE LINK SENT TO YOU.

8. AFTER LOGGING IN, CLICK ON UI ONLINE TO FILL FEDERAL UNEMPLOYEMENT BENEFITS, THEN FILE A NEW CLAIM TO PROCEED.

9. ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THE FILLING, CLICK "NO" ON ALL OPTION BOXES

10. THE NEXT PAGE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. 

THIS IS THE PART WHERE ID.ME VERIFICATION COMES IN. 

WITHOUT THIS VERIFICATION YOU CAN'T PROCEED FURTHER.
